Our CAPTE-accredited program is designed to get you out of the classroom and into the workforce as quickly as possible while providing thorough, exceptional training and education for clinical practice. Our faculty are experts in the field of physical therapy possessing both extensive clinical experience and impressive research portfolios. Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency

The Baylor Scott & White-Baylor University Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency program provides advanced, specialized training that enhances a physical therapist's expertise well beyond entry-level practice. With a strong commitment to developing clinical specialists, the program offers structured mentorship and hands-on experience to deepen your clinical reasoning and patient care skills. We work to support residents, positioning you as a leader in the field of physical therapy.

  • The resident will work as a clinician at Baylor Scott & White Health, receiving clinical mentorship from physical therapists who specialize in orthopedic practice.
  • A typical workweek includes 32 hours of independent orthopedic practice, 4 hours of 1-1 clinical mentoring, and 4-6 hours of didactic instruction.
